Viva Aerobus has been recorded in the history books by being the first airline to operate a commercial flight to the newly inaugurated Tulum International Airport.
The airline has announced three emerging routes: Mexico City, Felipe Ángeles and Monterrey, marking a promising beginning in the history of this airport located in the iconic Riviera Maya.

Juan Carlos Zuazua, general director of Viva Aerobus, expressed his enthusiasm for the opening of this new air terminal. The Debut of Viva Aerobus in Tulum
The first Viva Aerobus commercial flight that touched down in Tulum was VB9360, from Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA), landing at 1:15 p.m. with 179 passengers on board.
This historic event was followed by another flight that arrived from Monterrey at 1:25 p.m. with 155 passengers. These inaugural flights mark the beginning of a new era for air transportation in the Riviera Maya.

Route Expansion
Viva Aerobus also announced the inauguration of additional services from Guadalajara to Tulum starting December 16, followed by new service from Tijuana a day later.
